Project 27: Long Cat - Friendship School #6 - April 2008
Care to Help completed its sixth school project in Vietnam. This is the third school building in Long Cat Village. There are 180 students at the Long Cat School, the majority of the students attend a evening session due to work responsibilities during the day. The school serves a preschool and kindergarten during the day, and elementary school at night.
In addition to constructing the school buildings at Long Cat, Care to Help also pays the teachers salaries and supports a hot meal program where every student gets a hot meal at the school before class.
This project was assisted by a generous grant from Project Redwood, which is a philanthropic organization initiated by alumni of the Stanford Business School. We wish to thank them for their fantastic input and support.
